Daniel Jung grew up on an apple farm, spending his childhood exploring mountain pastures as a young shepherd. His love for sports began with football, which he played until he was 20. At 21, he discovered mountain biking and dedicated nearly a decade to it. However, at 31, Daniel found his true passion—mountain running.
For the past ten years, Daniel has embraced mountain running, driven by a desire to experience as much of the mountains as possible in a short time. He loves being in nature, sharing unforgettable adventures with his favorite people. His guiding philosophy is simple: follow your heart and treat every day as a gift.
In addition to mountain running, Daniel enjoys skimountaineering, mountain biking, road biking, climbing, Nordic skiing, and mountaineering. His strengths lie in his mental toughness and ability to navigate technical terrain, though he admits that flat and fast terrain is not his forte.
When he's not running, Daniel enjoys watching biathlon races, indulging in good food, and traveling. His journey from apple farmer to mountain adventurer is a testament to his passion, perseverance, and love for the great outdoors.
